How we get our prices
A range needs a source and a check date.
We are still checking local roof prices. No city range is published on these pages yet.
How a range will be built
We start with roof area, measured in squares of 100 square feet. We compare local published cost guides and, where available, prices supplied by vetted contractors. We label which basis was used.
A range is an estimate, not a quote. Pitch, old layers, materials, decking, access, permits and tax can change the final price. A contractor inspects the roof and quotes the work.
What the price will show
Each published city range will show its currency, roof size assumption, included work, excluded work, source links and the month it was checked. We will recheck it before changing the published figure. We have not set a public update schedule yet.
No source list is published here while the researched table is awaiting owner confirmation. We will link the specific sources next to each city range when that range is released.
